For any airport service requests please contact the TNDC.

Dease Lake is the regional service centre for the far NW of BC. Located in the mineral rich area often referred to as the ‘Golden Triangle’. Dease Lake is strategically placed to serve the mining and mineral exploration industry along with other resource based industries such as forestry and energy.

Being located in the traditional territory of the Tahltan Nation, Dease Lake is also home to the Tahltan Nation Development Corporation that is a business corporation owned by the people of the Tahltan Nation through the Tahltan Band, Iskut Band and the Tahltan Central Goverment.

With its recently upgraded runway, Dease Lake Airport is a vital part of the essential and growing aviation network in northwest BC, especially in its role as transportation hub for the Red Chris Mine. The Airport offers facilities for refuelling, aircraft parking and vehicular parking as well as a comfortable terminal building that serves as a base for worker transportation operations.

Availability of Land

The Stikine Airport Society leases the airport land from the Province of British Columbia. The Society has surveyed blocks of land available for sub-lease for aviation related commercial or non-commercial use. For example, current uses include aircraft charter services (including fuel supplies), private aircraft maintenance and aircraft parking.
